The Nichols & Simpson organ in the apse of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was installed during February and March of 2005. The free-standing case that houses the apse organ, as well as the four-manual console that controls both the apse organ and the Noehren organ in the gallery, were installed in 2001 when the Cathedral was reopened following renovations. The apse organ was used publicly for the first time during services for Easter, 2005.
